Munich, Germany or Rotkreuz, Switzerland | Hybrid working model with up to two days of remote work per week<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Build and establish a centralized VAT function within the group as the first dedicated point of contact for all VAT-related matters<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Ensure and continuously improve VAT compliance across the EU by reviewing and validating periodic VAT returns and EC Sales Lists (ESL) in close collaboration with local finance teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Oversee import VAT processes within Europe, including the assessment and correct treatment of cross-border transactions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Analyze, assess, and further develop the VAT treatment of complex supply chain structures<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Act as a business partner for internal stakeholders across Sales, Supply Chain, and Accounting regarding VAT implications of existing and new business models<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Support the implementation of e-invoicing requirements and monitor ongoing regulatory developments at EU level<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Contribute to the enhancement of VAT-related processes and systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Support and coordinate VAT audits and act as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Identify and implement measures to reduce VAT risks, improve processes, and increase efficiency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Requirements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, or a comparable qualification<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Extensive professional experience in VAT, ideally combining experience from consulting and in-house roles<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Strong knowledge of European VAT law, particularly regarding cross-border transactions, supply chains, and services<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Experience in reviewing and assessing VAT compliance processes in an international environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Familiarity with common ERP systems and interest in developing tax-related systems and processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Experience in supporting tax audits is a plus<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Strong analytical skills, a structured approach to work, and a hands-on mentality<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and international teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex VAT matters in a clear and practical way<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Fluent in German and English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
