What?

This course is designed to teach Microsoft Azure Solution Architects how to design infrastructure solutions. Course topics cover governance, compute, application architecture, storage, data integration, authentication, networks, business continuity, and migrations. The course combines lecture with case studies to demonstrate basic architect design principles.

This course prepares delegates to sit the AZ-305 exam as part of a wider scheme of learning (E.g., MS Learn, Practice Tests)

Audience

Course Level: 300. This course is for delegates who have experience and knowledge in IT operations, including networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data platforms, and governance. Delegates should also have experience designing and architecting solutions in Microsoft Azure

Roles Aimed at: Senior Administrator, Architect, Senior Managed Service Engineer or any IT professional whose role is to manage Microsoft Azure, look
to consolidate their deep knowledge or looking to certify

This course is not intended for:
– Inexperienced users of Microsoft Azure
– Non-technicalroles, even with decision making ability

Prerequisites

  • A modern laptop/desktop. Whilst not essential, dualscreen setup enhances learning to see instructor and materials/labs
  • A modern browser (Edge/Chrome)
  • A good internet connection (wired recommended)
  • Microsoft Teams Installed

This course also requires and understanding of:

  • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Microsoft Azure compute technologies such as VMs, containers and serverless solutions
  • Microsoft Azure virtual networking including load balancers
  • Microsoft Azure Storage technologies
  • General application design concepts such as messaging and high availability
  • It is recommended delegates pass Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) before taking this course, and ideally Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or have the equivalent experience
