Description

This course is related to the designation: Infrastructure (Azure. It is designed to teach IT Professionals how to manage their Microsoft Azure subscriptions, secure identities, administer infrastructure, configure virtual networking, connect Microsoft Azure and on-premises sites, manage network traffic, implement storage solutions, create, and scale virtual machines, implement web apps and containers, back up and share data, and monitor solutions.

Outcome

This course prepares delegates to sit the AZ-104 exam as part of a wider scheme of learning (E.g., MS Learn, Practice Tests)

Audience

Course Level:300. This course is for administrators who work within Microsoft Azure on a day-to-day basis. Administrators manage services that span storage, networking, and compute, with deep understanding of each across the full IT lifecycle. They take end-user requests for new cloud apps and recommend services to use for optimal performance.

Roles Aimed at:Administrator, Architect, Managed Service Engineer, or any IT professional whose role is to manage Infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, look to consolidate their deep knowledge or looking to certify.

This course is not intended for:

  • Inexperienced users of Microsoft Azure
  • Non-technical roles

Prerequisites

  • A modern laptop/desktop. Whilst not essential, dual screen setup enhances learning to see instructor and materials/labs
  • A modern browser (Edge/Chrome)
  • A good internet connection (wired recommended)
  • Microsoft Teams Installed

This course also requires:

  • Understanding of on-premises virtualization technologies, including: VMs, virtual networking, and virtual hard disks
  • Understanding of network configuration, including TCP/IP, Domain Name System (DNS), virtual private networks (VPNs), firewalls, and encryption technologies.
  • Understanding of Active Directory concepts, including domains, forests, domain controllers, replication, Kerberos protocol, and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
  • Understanding of resilience and disaster recovery, including backup and restore operations.

It is highly recommended delegates pass AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or have equivalent experience before attending this course.
