When it comes to defence against cyber threats, a few minutes often make the difference between success and failure. Attackers are aware of this: studies have repeatedly shown that cyber attacks usually occur outside regular business hours – in the evening, at weekends or on public holidays. For example, an endpoint alarm at 2 a.m. could indicate an intruder in the network who is up to mischief. If this alarm is not investigated by 9 a.m., an inconvenience could turn into a major problem.
