A missing ZTNA solution is not an option

Zero Trust is a security concept that no longer differentiates between internal and external networks. Every access – whether by user, device or application – is continuously checked and strictly regulated. Instead of one-off authentication, the principle is: “Nothing and nobody is trusted”. This limits access to what is necessary, minimises the risks of lateral movement during attacks and reduces the attack surface.

The costs of a missing ZTNA solution
Without Zero Trust, organisations are significantly more vulnerable to attack. Since the advent of GenAI 2022, phishing attacks have increased by over 1,200 % (McKinsey, 2024). Added to this are regulatory requirements such as US Executive Order 14028, EU Directive NIS 2 and DORA.

In the absence of a zero trust model, attackers can move laterally in the network after initial access and compromise critical systems. Traditional security models also often lead to configuration errors, inefficient processes, broad VPN access and an increased attack surface. The growing threat situation demands a more modern, dynamic security concept.
