Standard delivery is included in the price. 03 ☁ Claim a device Assign the device to your customer’s account in the Sophos Central portal as usual. 04 ⌁ Manage the firewall Once activated, the device will automatically appear in the monthly MSP Usage Report. FAQ What happens if a device isn’t claimed? If a device is not assigned to a customer within 30 days, it automatically activates as an HWaaS system. What happens if the size no longer fits? If a firewall’s configuration no longer meets a customer’s requirements, it can be deactivated at any time after the minimum contract period, or easily reassigned to a new customer, and a new, suitable device can be ordered for the current customer. What happens when the device is no longer in use? Even after deactivation, the device remains the property of the partner and can be used at any time for new customers as part of the HWaaS programme. It is not necessary to return it to Sophos. What happens if an RMA is required? Support continues as normal under the Hardware-as-a-Service model.In the event of an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) or a fault, including DoA (Dead on Arrival) cases, the process is handled directly by Sophos Support. The replacement unit is also provided as an HWaaS system. What happens if the customer needs a cluster configuration? The choice is yours, depending on what suits you and your customers best. You can purchase a second appliance through the standard programme and use it to set up an active/passive cluster. Alternatively, you can purchase a second HWaaS appliance and configure the two licences either in active/active mode or in active/passive mode.
