STEP 2:

Training & certifications – congratulations on the silver medal

Certify yourself conveniently & flexibly in the Sophos Academy within the three current quarters (July 2025 – March 2026) for permanent silver status – without any time pressure.

You will retain your silver certification with the following training courses:

  • Sales certification [Training SC01]
  • Selling MDR certification [Training SC02]
  • Engineer certification (Endpoint, MDR or Firewall)

What does “Straight to Silver” mean?

On 1 April 2025, a change was made to the classification of newly registered Sophos partners.

Partners who register with Sophos with immediate effect will be categorised directly as Silver Partners. This should help partners to get into active sales of Sophos products as quickly as possible through attractive purchasing conditions.

At the end of the first 3 quarters, Sophos will review the sales and certification status of the partners concerned in order to determine the actual classification according to the requirements for the respective partner levels defined in the partner programme. For partner registrations between 1 April – 30 June 2025, the compliance check will take place on 31 December 2025. If the requirements for remaining in Silver status are met, no changes will be made. If the partner is below the minimum requirements, they will be downgraded.

As a newly registered Sophos partner, you will automatically start with Silver status with immediate effect.
Including attractive purchasing conditions and full access to comprehensive sales and marketing resources for a quick sales start.

At the end of the first 3 quarters, Sophos will review the turnover achieved and the certifications completed. For new registrations between 1 July and 30 September 2025, the compliance check will take place on 31 March 2026.

Anyone who fulfils the silver criteria by then will retain their silver status. Otherwise, they will be downgraded in accordance with the Sophos partner programme. Partners who qualify for a higher level will be promoted on a monthly basis.
