Role Purpose

Are you an experienced events assistant or organiser looking for the next big step in your career? We are offering a unique opportunity to join our successful Marketing Team as an Events Executive taking end-to-end ownership of events processes supported by the wider team. This is a fast-paced, exciting position offering a breadth of exposure to a varied events calendar.

We are seeking a confident coordinator who takes initiative and thrives in an ever-changing priorities landscape. Skills in events or travel organisation would be ideal for this position. However, we will also consider transferrable skills as well alongside the right attitude to succeed!

Please note this is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week, role based in our South Cerney office. This role is offered on a hybrid basis with 3 days in office. Due to the nature of a marketing role, this role will include frequent travel and so we are seeking candidate holds a valid driving license and access to their own vehicle. You will need to be flexible to attend evening events across the UK.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Gather detailed event briefs and secure the required stakeholder approvals. 
  • Source event venues aligned to the brief in a timely manner – attending site visits when needed (both accompanied and unaccompanied as required)  
  • Compile event checklists and allocate activity owners to ensure through delivery and execution of events 
  • Work with the marketing team to create inspiring event collaterals and branding to support the event recruitment 
  • Own the execution of the event communication plan including emails, social media, website and outbound recruitment  
  • Support with all event branding, merchandise, collaterals, presentations and content collection 
  • Pro-actively co-ordinate the virtual event team – including leadership, vendor managers, marketing managers, social media manager to secure multi-team participation and buy-in. 
  • Liaise with Marketing Director or Vendor Marketing Manager to ensure event budgets are tracked and aligned.  
  • Provide pre-event, on the day and post event set-up support including in-room branding, badges, merchandise packs and collaterals. 
  • Complete post-event feedback and summary documents for sharing with leadership team.  
  • Travel to locations across the country as required, often needing overnight stays (only 1 weekend per year required)  
  • General admin duties relating to the delivery and management of events 
  • Adhere to company policy and work in line with the Company Quality Management System at all times. 

General Skills

  • Experience of events or similar role with transferable skills such as travel planning or marketing  
  • Competent using MS Excel/Office/email etc 
  • Ability to work under pressure 
  • Motivated and enthusiastic
  • Flexible, able to work evenings and away from home as required (average requirement is 1 – 2 times per month – may be more in busy events periods (May / June / Sept / Oct / Nov) 
  • Confident and able to work across the organisation 
  • Maintain a professional and polite disposition at all times
