Infinigate Cloud are seeking an ambitious Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer to join our global IT team. This role can be based remotely in the UK or utilise one of our four office bases in London, Woking, Fareham or South Cerney. This role is fast paced with a primary focus on delivering robust application solutions, maintaining and improving the development applications and staying abreast of latest changes in the software development industry.

We are offering this opportunity as a full-time (37.5 hours per week) on a permanent basis, remote or hybrid.

Duties & Responsibilities

Discovery/Design 

  1. Identify and prioritise partner/department requirements
  2. Design a solution, creating design documents and program flow diagrams where necessary

Technical Delivery 

  1. Write clean, efficient code based on the specifications
  2. Keep work tickets up to date, taking part in daily stand ups and sprint reviews where needed
  3. Create unit tests to ensure resiliency and reduce errors produced by your code

Maintenance 

  1. Investigate and triage bug reports
  2. Debug code, identify issues and deploy the required fixes
  3. Add additional features to your solutions requested by users/departments in an iterative fashion

General 

  1. Responsible for adhering to best practice within the team seeking advice from peers where necessary, to help with the development, breadth and scale of the department.
  2. Uses appropriate planning and tools to succeed in own role and consistently meet KPI’s/OLA’s/SLA
  3. Keep up to date with best practice in the key service solutions.  Suggest and recommend changes to the business and processes to improve the performance of Professional and Managed Services within Infinigate Cloud.
  4. Maintain high quality in delivery and sponsor continuous improvement.  Own, maintain and adhere to all elements of the relevant ISO standards.

General Skills

Essential 

  1. 3+ years experience working in a commercial development environment
  2. Professional experience with C# and .NET
  3. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and S.O.L.I.D. principles
  4. Knowledge of authentication/authorization technologies such as Azure Active Directory
  5. Knowledge of API’s (especially REST) and the ability to understand JSON/XML files
  6. Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud technologies
  7. Experience in using Git Repositories or similar version control systems
  8. Intermediate level experience with SQL and/or PostgreSQL
  9. Fluent business and technical, written and verbal, English language required
