This course is the second level of technical training for Firewall. This training course provides an in-depth insight into the architecture of the firewall, including a presentation of the interaction between the modules. This includes the detection of problems and the possibilities of analysing network traffic. The evaluation of logs and the use of Linux tools on the shell for troubleshooting are part of the training. The execution and completion of a complex evaluation/deployment are just as much a focus as the design and implementation of a customised solution according to customer requirements.

This course builds on the Basics course and goes into much greater depth on the products and technologies. Learners who are Sophos partners will be able to successfully pass the Sophos Certified Architect Firewall exam at the end of the training. They will then be able to progress to the Certified Technician level.
