AI Powered - AI enhanced cybersecurity In my last post I set out Infinigate’s five key areas of AI security, today I will provide my thoughts on the first one: AI Powered – AI enhanced cybersecurity. 2 mins read | Published on 23 Oct 2026 The Pulse Blogs As the market evolves it seems as if a new AI native security company is emerging every week. Add these to the list of established cybersecurity vendors embedding AI into their existing product and the landscape soon becomes tough to navigate. Why is AI powered cybersecurity so important? If you follow the industry news, you will have seen the rapid advancements in the capabilities of AI and the impact it has on cyber risk. According to Fortinet, exploitation attempts have increased 25% year-over-year to 121.99 billion, and the time-to-exploit has shrunk from around a week to within 24-48 hours of disclosure (1). This is largely down to increased automation of cyber-attacks and the lower barrier to entry provided by artificial intelligence. You no longer need to be an expert to exploit vulnerable systems, you just need the right tools. With this increase in both the volume and speed of attacks, humans alone can no longer keep up with the rising threat levels. According to IBM, the average cost saving from extensive use of AI in security is $1.93m (2). The message is clear, AI powered attacks require AI powered defences. This takes us back to the question: how do you navigate the complex world of cybersecurity in an AI world? At Infinigate, we pride ourselves on 30 years of experience and expertise, but we are constantly looking to the future, toward our next 30. We have developed a thorough vendor appraisal and incubation process which utilises our wealth of expertise and a strict governance framework to ensure we represent the best solutions available in the market. These tools are then categorised according to our five categories of AI security, and all our sales and technical teams are equipped with the knowledge to provide vendor-agnostic advice based on your unique requirements. You can approach your local Infinigate representative or attend one of our events to find out more. Want all five pillars now? This is the second post in our AI security series.
